Click the button
Click START COMPUTER HELP above. A new browser tab will open.
Get your code
On the Google page, find Get Support. If Google asks you to download or install something, follow its instructions. This is generally a one-time setup. Then select Generate Code.
Tell me the code
Read the code to me over the telephone. Please do not type it on this website.
Allow the connection
When Google asks whether you want to share your computer, select Share or Allow. I can then see your screen and help you.
You are always in control. You can stop sharing at any time by closing the sharing window or selecting Stop Sharing.

How do I open Google Chrome?
Look for the round red, yellow, green, and blue circle on your computer. Double-click it.
How do I enter a website address?
At the top of the browser is a long box. Click inside it, type the website address, and press the Enter key.
What if Google asks me to install something?
That can be normal the first time. Follow the instructions shown by Google. Only download the support component from Google’s official support page.
Where do I find the support code?
On Google’s support page, choose Get Support, then choose Generate Code. The code will appear on the screen.
How do I approve screen sharing?
Read the message carefully. If you want me to help, select Share or Allow. You can stop sharing whenever you wish.
What are Mac privacy permissions?
On a Mac, Google may ask for permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security. You may need to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility.
What if my support code expires?
Return to Get Support and choose Generate Code again. Then read me the new code.
